Behaviour change is a complex and important area of psychology for any nutritionist working with clients to have an understanding of. If you are advising and educating clients about nutrition then any changes will require some modification of lifestyle behaviours. This webinar will provide you with the strategies and techniques to motivate a client, and most importantly how to help a client find their own motivation, which is crucial for behaviour change. Building the correct elements into your consultation to enhance motivation is important, especially as not all clients will be motivated to change and in this situation. Being able to explain to a client what a behaviour change journey looks like is crucial as it gives a client a more realistic outlook, and equips them with the tools to manage a relapse when it happens. By preparing your client how to manage a relapse (I.e., Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) in advance you reduce the chances of them dropping out of your programme.
