Marieke de Sévaux
Marieke de Sévaux is a PhD candidate at the University Medical Center Groningen. She completed her Master of Science degree in Clinical and Psychosocial Epidemiology at the University of Groningen in 2020, focusing on health systems and population-level prevention.
During her master's studies, Marieke collaborated with the Nutritional and Health-Related Environmental Studies Section at the IAEA, examining the relationship between breastfeeding and wealth at both the national and individual level as part of the master thesis work.
To further pursue her research interests in nuclear techniques applied to breast milk analysis, Marieke secured funding for a three-year doctoral program during which she is involved in the development of the IAEA Database on Human Milk Intake.
