Professor Louis Levy
Professor Levy's career over 20 years has involved nutrition research, health promotion and policy.
At the Food Standards Agency and the Department of Health (England), Dr Levy had responsibility for development and implementation of nutrition policy and messaging across the UK. He now works within Public Health England as the Head of Nutrition Science, overseeing the evidence base for nutrition including overseeing the teams working on the National Diet and Nutrition Survey and the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition. He also supports the wider team providing advice to many cross Government steering groups and has previously contributed to NICE Guidance.
Dr Levy is also an AfN registration appraiser, and has worked on the professionalisation of the nutrition profession and training.
