Professor Mieke Faber
Professor Mieke Faber is a Deputy Editor of the journal of Public Health Nutrition. She is a temporary (post-retirement) Chief Specialised Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council, and an extraordinary professor at both North-West University and the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. She is a Deputy Editor of the South African Journal of Clinical Nutrition and a member of the Editorial Board of Maternal and Child Nutrition. She holds a PhD from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Her research interests include food-based interventions to improve nutritional status in infants and young children; dietary quality assessment and impact on health; and infant and child feeding and nutritional status.
