Dr Louise Durrant

Louise graduated as Dietitian in 2011 following her BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Surrey, and then then went on to complete a BBSRC DRINC funded PhD studentship also at the University of Surrey. Her PhD research focused on the comparative efficacy of vitamins D2 and D3 through a large randomised controlled trial – The D2-D3 Study. Shortly after completing her PhD, Louise moved to Yakult where she led the science team, with a particular focus on communications with healthcare professionals. Louise was a recipient of the Nutrition Society’s Rising Star Award in 2021, acknowledging her early career success and positive impact on the wider nutrition community.

Louise is currently Nutrition Communications Manager at the Quorn Foods.
