Instructor

Dr. Tim Podlogar is a Lecturer in Applied Physiology at the University of Exeter. He completed his PhD (2020) in carbohydrate metabolism before and during exercise at the University of Birmingham. Subsequently, he pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in environmental physiology and metabolism in Slovenia before returning to the University of Birmingham in 2021 for a three-year postdoctoral fellowship to investigate carbohydrate metabolism during exercise with and without heat acclimation. In late 2024, he was appointed as a Lecturer in Applied Physiology at the University of Exeter, where he continues his research in the field of exercise metabolism. In his leisure time, Tim has been engaged in the role of a nutritionist for numerous professional and amateur athletes.
