Sport nutrition is one of the fastest growing areas of sport science research. This has resulted in a vast number of research papers ranging from mechanistic cell based studies to human studies on elite participants. Whilst this research is without doubt beneficial for academics, some of the studies have only served to add confusion to the athletes largely because of the inappropriate way they have been interpreted and translated. This webinar will look at some of the pitfalls when translating the findings of research papers to the sporting field and present an operational framework that may guide the applied practitioner.
