Lucy Williamson
Lucy graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh in 1991 and worked in farm and small animal practice both in Canada, gaining her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, and in the UK, for 15 years.
After a career break to devote time to her family, Lucy gained an MSc in Nutrition from King’s College, London, in 2016. Registered with the British Association for Nutritionists, she now promotes better public health, using only evidence-based nutrition science. Believing in the exceptional quality of our British food produce, Lucy highlights the importance of including dairy, beef, fish, fruit, vegetables and grains in a balanced diet, following current intake recommendations.
Lucy works with British food producers and providers, providing Nutrition support to help build customer awareness and inform future marketing opportunities. In addition, Lucy is a Visiting Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Hertfordshire and runs her own Nutrition Consultancy, engaging with the public via schools, industry and speaking regularly at events and conferences.
