Dr Vundli Ramokolo
Dr Vundli Ramokolo is an Associate Editor at the Journal of Public Health Nutrition. She is an Epidemiologist working as a Specialist Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council.
Dr Ramokolo completed her doctoral studies at the University of Bergen, Norway, and post-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University, New York. Her research interests include (1) the interactions between food security, nutrition, and disease, (2) developmental origins of health and disease, and (3) perinatal Epidemiology.
She is an investigator in studies relating to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on food security and maternal and child health; the impact of the Child Support Grant on child nutrition; prevention of mother-to-child-transmission; and pre-exposure prophylaxis in pregnant and postpartum women.
