Dr Emma Derbyshire
Dr Emma Derbyshire is founder and CEO of Nutritional Insight. She has a degree in Nutritional Biochemistry, PhD in Human Nutrition specialising in Maternal (Pregnancy) Nutrition and is a Registered Public Health Nutritionist.
Emma is a nutrition expert, an established scientist, an award-winning science writer and presenter. She has experience of working in academic, research and consultancy and media broadcasting settings including radio and television.
She has written 200+ peer-reviewed nutrition publications and authored the successful Wiley-Blackwell text “Nutrition in the Childbearing Years” which sold internationally. She is currently writing a new book soon to be published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
She has expertise across a range of nutrition fields including maternal nutrition, neurodiversity, functional foods, immunonutrition and shifting nutrition trends. She has been ranked as a Tier 1 ‘Elite Expert’ by past clients.
Emma's consultancy experience is extensive compiling scientific documents for major international corporations, food and healthcare establishments, government agencies, eminent publishing houses and public relations agencies. She has been involved in assignments in Europe, the USA, Africa, and Middle East.
