
Anna-Lena Klapp
Anna-Lena Klapp is a public health nutritionist and food policy expert with extensive experience working with policy-makers at all levels to improve the nutrition of the overall population. Her research on improving recommendations for plant-based foods within food-based dietary guidelines has won multiple awards. As Head of Research at ProVeg International, Anna-Lena collaborates with international non-profit organisations and governments to drive food system transformation towards healthier, more sustainable diets.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional, Food, and Consumer Sciences and a Master of Science in Public Health Nutrition from Fulda University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Göttingen, focusing on the intersection of nutrition, sustainability, and policy.
